Graphic Design Minor course that addresses general strategies and principles of branding. Projects focus on how self-promotion through various applications such as a personal logo/mark, promotional video, resume and social media. Through a process of rapid prototyping, students create an abstract symbol that represents them conceptually. Strong emphasis on brainstorming and sketching by hand.
In this semester-long project, students follow a self-guided path to create a personal brand and execute it across multiple deliverables. Emphasis on type, color, voice and messaging.
Type-based logo and packaging project. Emphasis on typography, branding and 3D design.
